Later Sk8r - March Kit of the Month

For March, our club is working on the Later Sk8r kit. I have a 2 page layout and 3 cards to share. One of my favorite things about the kits with CTMH, are the directions. The directions are for the 2, 2 page layouts shown in the book, but not only can you complete those, you still have paper left for other creations. Included you will get embellishments, this one has a pack of the green and blue epoxy bubbles and the Later Sk8r assortment. Each kit also has a stamp set exclusive to the kit itself. You can't purchase them separately.

This kit is geared towards skaters, but you can use the papers for so many different things. The layouts in the book show them with baseball and just general pics. I used the papers for my grandson's first birthday pictures and a few cards.

On the left side, I created a banner, just hand cut, nothing fancy and tied it up with gray twine. The font is cut from the CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge. A few of the Later Sk8r embellishments are also used on the banner. The cool stamps are included with the kit.

On the right side, I used several cuts from the CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge. The gears work with the paper perfectly! I added some more stars and twine to match the left side.

Next up are the 3 cards I made. These were so fun, fast, and simple. The matching papers make it so easy. No searching through stacks of paper to find something that goes together. I love that about CTMH!

The first card I used a stamp set called Fast and Furious. The set has cars, tire tracks, a stop sign and a few cute little words.  I added some brads for the tires and the headlight.

The next two, I made with the monogram stamp. These make a perfect gift and are only $2.95 each.  The frames are from last season's book, but still available. There is a new frame set in this book, Perfect Fit-Frames 2.

Message me if you have any questions. I'd love to have you join us! I will have the inks and some stamps for you to use at the club meeting.

If you'd like to purchase the kit online, please go here  and click the April CLUB tab.

March Club Project

Buzz & Bumble

Hello ladies!  This month, our club will meet on Thursday, March 14th.  As always I will send reminders before the date with the time and place.

We ordered Buzz & Bumble to complete this month.  I have to admit, I wasn't sure I would like this kit. But, the more I worked with it, the more I wanted to do. I had to stop with the layouts and cards that I have completed, or I wouldn't use anything else.

Here is the layout I created:

This the second layout in the kit with a few added features. The instructions are not included with the kit, but I will have them with me if you decide to do this one.

Here are the cards I created. A few of these, I got the idea from another demo, her name is Brenda Rose. If you have some free time, you have to check out her blog. She has such awesome creations!

The middle card my daughter created on her own. She's really started to get into card making this year. I gave her a Smashbook for her Senior yr of high school. She's really been adding tons of stuff to it, and I think it keeps her creativeness flowing. I love when she sits in the room with me and works on her own stuff.

Here are the layouts close up:

C is for.....

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter C. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their C element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Josie's Joy then you're on the right track!

"C" is for Celebrate Clementine, Cameo, and Chevrons!

The past few weeks have been terribly busy around here.  We've just had a lot of stuff going on, and I didn't think I was going to be able to finish up C.  But, my sweet daughter came to my rescue.  My daughter, JaiLynn, is 18. She's never really been into scrapbooking. Her friends would come over and love to hang out in my scrap studio, but she just wouldn't do much of anything in there. Until this last year. I bought her a smash book for her senior year and she has done some amazing things in it. The book is totally cute!  So, when I mentioned this week was letter C and I didn't think I would have time to finish anything, she jumped right in to help.

Here are the amazing cards she made:

 Celebrate Clementine:
Supplies Used: All items CTMH unless noted: Clemetine paper, Sorbet, Creme Brulee & Twilight Ink, Card Chatter-Birthday stamps, Heart to Heart stamps, Summer Wishes stamps, Burlap Ribbon, Clementine flower accents; Cottage asst

Digital Stamps

I know I'm a little behind here, but this is my first try at digital stamps. I thought it would be to much trouble to learn how to "get" them. But, after a few unzips, saves, and all that techy stuff, it finally worked out.

I downloaded several from Tiddly Inks, which has some totally cute stuff!! It was so hard to decide on which ones to get. The one I am sharing today was a FREE one!! This is an awesome way to try digi stamps. She was just so cute, I couldn't wait to download and color her.  If you'd like to download her, she is here  Ellie

I am a CTMH consultant, but I do use lots of other products as well. I love so many different things, it would be hard to just do one company only :)  Here are the supplies used on this card:
Tiddly Inks digi stamp "Ellie", Paper Smooches "Smoocheroos" for the word Love, CTMH cardstock, Authentique Essentials Collection PP, Prima flower, Doodlebug paper posie, Misc stick pin, CTMH twine, pearls, glitter brad, and Paper Studio lace. Coloring was done with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. If you have Spectrum Noirs here are the numbers I used: Balloons: BT1, BT2, BT4, BT5, BT7; Elephant: BG2, BG4, BG6, BG8; Ears: PP1, PP3

I linked this up to the Spectrum Noir Challenge for the month.

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to come back tomorrow for the ABC Blog hop!
